We are a production’s best ally every step of the way. #OneCastOneCrew
Cast & Crew is hiring an Associate HRBP to sit at the intersection of HR operations and business partnership to keep the engine of our People & Culture function running smoothly. This role is built for someone who wants real breadth: You'll own the details that make the employee experience run while also developing the business partnership skills that define a long-term HR career.
You'll report to the VP of People Experience and partner cross functionally to keep our processes and programs consistent, compliant, and built to scale. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to lean into varying HR bodies of work, not just process transactions in it.
What you'll do
Support HRBP and L&D on performance cycles, engagement surveys, and other People programs
Bring creativity to employee engagement: help plan culture moments, recognition programs, and initiatives that make Cast & Crew a great place to work, and partner with our ERGs to support their programming
Own day-to-day employee lifecycle components: onboarding, offboarding, support people programs and employee data changes (title, pay, department, manager)
Maintain employee data integrity in Workday; build and run reports that HR leadership and other departments rely on
Partner with Payroll and Finance to make sure compensation changes and benefit deductions flow through accurately
Partner with Legal to draft employment letters, policy documents, and onboarding materials, and manage e-signature workflows
Act as a go-to resource for employees related to HR policy, programs and process questions
Audit HR practices to remain compliant with federal, California, and local employment law, and maintain accurate records
Document and automate HR workflows so processes scale as the company grows
Exit interview facilitation
What you bring
2-3 years in HR, People Operations, or HR Administration
Direct experience in Workday (or a comparable HRIS like Rippling or BambooHR), comfortable navigating the system independently and building reports and workflow automation
AI Fluency: Familiarity with AI tools (such as Claude, Copilot, or equivalent) and a willingness to integrate them into HR workflows to improve efficiency and support data driven decision-making.
Experience with onboarding, payroll coordination and HR documentation processes
A genuine interest in process improvement and automation
Strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple workstreams without losing accuracy
Sound judgment handling confidential employee information
Comfortable working in ambiguity when a process is still being built, and taking initiative to help build it
Clear, professional communication with employees and managers alike
Nice to have
PHR, SHRM-CP, or California HR certification
Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
