The Project Cost Controller guides and supports the financial performance of all ALEUS PEG projects. This role focuses on tracking project expenditures, forecasting future costs, analyzing variances, and sharing actionable financial insights with the project management team. The ultimate goal is to ensure the project achieves sustainable financial success within budget. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Project Manager operationally and the Director of Project Implementation functionally.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Project’s primary point of contact for cost
- Collaborate with project managers to develop, monitor, and guide project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting
- Track purchase orders, invoices, commitments, and actual costs in Oracle while identifying variances
- Prepare accurate forecasts at completion (FaC).
- Analyze cost variances and identify trends, potential overruns, or areas for savings
- Facilitate the project change control process.
- Evaluate the cost impact of scope changes, potential variations, and trends, ensuring they are properly documented and incorporated into the budget forecast
- Keep project managers and other stakeholders informed and engaged regarding project status and key insights
- Prepare and present comprehensive monthly cost reports, dashboards, and financial summaries for project managers, stakeholders, and corporate executives
- Identify financial risks and opportunities, assessing their potential impact on project contingency budget
- Confirm subcontractor billing is aligned with actual progress
- Evaluate subcontractor claims alongside associated mitigation and recovery plans

Required Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Accounting / Finance, Engineering or other related discipline
5 years of relevant experience
Having worked with ERP system (Oracle) and knowledgeable on how to extract & manipulate data
Proficient in MS Office and preferably Google Suite applications
Advanced macros and lookups in MS Excel or Google Sheets
Fluent English (spoken and written)
Good communication skills, written and oral
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Able to effectively interface with various disciplines / organizations
Proficient with Physical Progress and Earned Value measurement systems
Prioritize and execute tasks with minimal direction
Demonstrate a sense of urgency in support of company and project leadership request
Preferred Qualification
Previous project controls experience in an engineering, construction, or technical office
