Ko tōu ake mahi - What you’ll do
This Analyst role is an opportunity to make a tangible impact on the performance of New Zealand's health system. You'll contribute to high-quality analytical work that provides insight into the performance of the health system and Crown entities, transforming complex data into clear, evidence-based information that supports monitoring and decision-making by senior leaders and Ministers. You'll help deliver the analysis that underpins effective monitoring, while developing your analytical capability and contributing to continuous improvement.
Deliver data analysis, monitoring, and reporting to support system performance and inform decision-making
Extract and analyse data (using tools like R, SQL, Snowflake, Qlik and Power BI) to generate clear, actionable insights
Develop data visualisations and communicate findings to a range of stakeholders in a clear and engaging way
Support continuous improvement of data processes, tools, and monitoring capability across the team
Ko ngā pūkenga ōu - What you’ll bring
A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. data science, statistics, health) or equivalent experience
Experience or strong interest in data analysis and working with analytical tools (e.g. R, SQL, Power BI, Excel)
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information simply
Strong organisational skills, curiosity, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and ambiguous environments
