ABOUT THIS ROLE
We are looking for an analytically driven Commercial Finance Analyst to support the Mexico Commercial Finance team by turning financial and commercial data into clear analysis, performance insights and actionable recommendations. This role will help evaluate commercial initiatives, prepare customer and channel P&Ls, track trade spend investments and support planning and forecasting processes. Success in this role means delivering accurate analysis, identifying risks and opportunities, and helping business stakeholders make faster, fact-based decisions.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Support monthly, quarterly and annual commercial performance analysis across customers, channels, brands and initiatives.
Prepare and maintain customer, channel and initiative P&Ls, explaining key performance drivers.
Evaluate pricing actions, promotions, commercial investments and customer plans using ROI and scenario analysis.
Track trade spend budgets, actuals, accruals, commitments and forecasts, highlighting risks and opportunities.
Support Strategic Plan, AOP, Latest Estimate and forecasting processes.
Monitor commercial execution and price performance in partnership with Sales and RGM teams.
Support post-investment reviews and measure the effectiveness of commercial initiatives.
Maintain accurate financial models, reporting tools and datasets.
Support compliance with trade spend, pricing, revenue recognition and commercial control requirements.
Continuously identify opportunities to simplify reporting and improve processes.
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED
1-3 years of experience in Finance, FP&A, Commercial Finance, Accounting, Sales Analytics, RGM or related analytical roles.
Advanced English proficiency (required).
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (highly desirable).
Strong analytical, financial modelling and problem-solving capabilities.
Understanding of P&L concepts, including volume, price/mix, NSV, trade spend, COGS, gross margin and operating profit.
Experience building reports, business insights and financial analysis to support decision-making.
Experience with Power BI, SAP or similar reporting and ERP tools is desirable.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Accounting or a related discipline.
