Job Description

As a Security Officer Entry Point Monitor in Ennis, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a professional, welcoming experience for staff, patients, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related concerns, and communicate clearly while delivering service with integrity, teamwork, and care in a dynamic environment.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help support authorized access, verify credentials, and document visitor activity in accordance with site protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, observing and reporting unusual activity, unsecured access points, and other security-related concerns.
• Assist with badge or credential checks, visitor processing, and routine reporting while maintaining professional interactions in a healthcare environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
