Job Summary:
The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing all field of mechanical operations at Exxon. This role ensures that projects are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. The Superintendent coordinates labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage and oversee construction activities from project start through completion
- Ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies, site requirements, and regulatory standards
- Plan, coordinate, and schedule daily work activities to meet project milestones and deadlines
- Monitor manpower, materials, and equipment to ensure proper allocation and ?productivity
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date job site documentation, reports, and records
- Assist ?with change order documentation, pricing support, and evaluating schedule impacts
- Coordinate closely with supervisors, engineers, inspectors, clients, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain project progress
- Provide ?leadership and direction to field personnel, ensuring clear communication and expectations
- Participate in meetings both in-person and virtually?
- Utilize computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and communication
Work Environment:
- Primarily based in an active chemical plant or industrial job site
- Exposure to outdoor conditions, noise, and industrial hazards
- Must ?comply with all site-specific safety protocols and PPE requirements
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Superintendent or similar construction leadership role
- Strong knowledge of scheduling, and safety practices
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to effectively coordinate across multiple teams and disciplines
