DIGITAL ENGAGEMENT MANAGER

At Amgen Breda, we handle everything from labeling and assembling medicines to storage and shipment across various countries worldwide. Every day, more than 1000 people from 42 different nationalities work together on supply chain processes, manufacturing, marketing, sales and clinical research to deliver life-changing treatments. Your role is part of our local affiliate where we work with a team of 100 professionals to serve patients in the Netherlands.

What you will do

We are looking for a Digital Engagement Manager to join the Customer Capabilities Expertise Center within Amgen Netherlands.

In this role, you connect audience needs, marketing strategy, data and technology to develop digital engagement solutions. Your first priority will be to design, launch and own the patient engagement platform for Amgen Netherlands.

You will work directly with patients, patient organisations, hospitals and digital health partners through approved and compliant engagement formats. You will translate their needs into relevant journeys, services, content, platform functionality and technical requirements.

This role is suited to a digital marketing professional with a strong technical background who can lead complex projects, work with external stakeholders and agencies, and contribute directly through Python, analytics and automation.

You will lead digital engagement priorities by:

• Defining the vision, value proposition, roadmap and measurable outcomes for the patient engagement platform.
• Leading patient research, journey mapping, collaborative design, prototyping and validation with patients, patient organizations and hospitals.
• Translating patient, marketing and business needs into journeys, briefs, user stories, functional requirements, data requirements and integrations.
• Connecting Amgen information and services with hospital platforms and other approved external platforms.
• Partnering with Marketing Excellence, Content Excellence and franchise teams to develop digital journeys, activation plans and reusable engagement solutions.
• Using Python, analytics, automation and application programming interfaces to explore data, create prototypes and support platform integrations.
• Managing scope, budget, timelines, risks, agencies, vendors and multidisciplinary teams from discovery through launch and adoption.
• Embedding measurement, privacy, security, accessibility, regulatory, safety and compliance requirements into solutions from the start.

What we seek in you as an experienced digital engagement professional are these qualifications and skills:

• Relevant experience in digital marketing, customer experience, marketing technology, digital product delivery or engagement platforms.
• A background that combines technical or marketing technology experience with project management, product ownership, consulting or a customer facing agency role.
• Demonstrable hands on Python capability and a strong understanding of data, analytics, application programming interfaces and platform integrations.
• Proven experience managing complex digital projects, including scope, planning, budget, risk, agencies, vendors, launch and adoption.
• Experience working with patients, patient organizations, hospitals or other healthcare stakeholders.
• The ability to translate audience and business needs into clear marketing, experience and technical requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills in Dutch and English.
• Experience in the Dutch healthcare ecosystem or another regulated healthcare environment is preferred.
