Role summary:Walmart Technology is seeking a Software Engineer III, Information Security, to provide advanced support and develop enterprise security services. This role involves analyzing systems to design security solutions, troubleshooting issues, and leading incident response efforts. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders to implement improvements, maintain code and configurations, and ensure system performance and reliability. The Security Partners Engineering team is dedicated to safeguarding applications, platforms, and infrastructure by automating security control assessments. The team develops resilient, secure services and AI-driven workflows to enhance security evaluation and minimize enterprise risk. Collaborating closely with development teams, members focus on improving productivity while upholding strong security standards. Expertise in cloud security, application security, automation, and software development life cycle processes is essential. The team delivers scalable, maintainable solutions that support Walmart’s commitment to secure and reliable technology environments, ensuring robust protection across all systems and services.
What you'll do:
- Provide advanced support for enterprise security services by troubleshooting, resolving issues, and maintaining code and configurations using version control.
- Analyze systems and business processes to design and implement effective security solutions aligned with customer requirements.
- Lead and participate in system development lifecycle activities, including writing, testing, debugging, and installing software and scripts.
- Monitor system performance, alerts, and reliability, driving problem identification and coordinating resolutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver technical presentations, documentation, and continuous improvements to security applications and processes.
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in software engineering with a focus on information security and intrusion detection and prevention.
- Proficiency in Python programming and automation to develop and maintain secure systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and continuous delivery practices to support scalable security solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills to analyze root causes and implement effective resolutions.
- Ability to lead technical design, testing, and debugging of complex programs and scripts.
- Familiarity with version control and change management processes in software development.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and provide clear status updates.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
