This job is responsible for completing and tracking compliance deliverables to ensure applications adhere to policies and standards as well as local laws, rules, and regulations. Key responsibilities include supporting compliance deliverables and infrastructure requests, vendors, development teams, and technology managers to ensure timely completion of compliance activities. Job expectations include partnering with control functions, risk management, and Global Information Security teams to complete compliance deliverables effectively and efficiently.
This role manages the mainframe AITs within the US Wires space and plays a critical part in supporting day-to-day operations. This role is important for business continuity and ensuring compliance with RISE requirements, as well as supporting other internal deliverables and commitments. This role is critical to application management, involving risk, compliance, patching, and overall AIT governance.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in analysis and managing remediation of Not Permitted Technology – multiple components across software and hardware stack
- Responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivery of component upgrades or replacements which requires engagement from multiple teams
- Promotes/facilitates communication and collaboration across organizations to support the deliverable completion and timeline
- General understanding of technology stack including Linux/Unix/AIX/Windows, Java, Oracle database, and technology stack interoperability
- General understanding of technology stack including z/OS and basic mainframe environment, basic Linux/Unix/AIX/Windows, and technology stack interoperability
- Able to multitask and manage multiple deliverables across technology
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- Completes administrative and non-technical tasks related to risk, security, and other compliance deliverables (e.g., access reviews, assessments, questionnaires, and procedural requirements) on time and per requirements for the application supported
- Tracks and supports the technical security and risk activities performed by the development teams (e.g., remediation of non permitted technology or security vulnerabilities, technical recovery planning, and disaster recovery exercises)
- Works with technology infrastructure teams to incorporate infrastructure requirements, including requests for additional storage
- Assists with audit exams and risk assessments for applications
- Works closely with vendors for vendor applications to ensure they meet bank requirements
- Maintains data about the application in AppHQ and other systems of record
- Assists with ad hoc inquiries and questions about applications
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience of basic z/OS mainframe technology
- 2+ years experience of basic Linux/Unix/Windows functionality
- 2+ years experience of technical stack interoperability (Operating System, Database, Middleware connectivity and interoperability)
- 2+ years experience managing an application portfolio in the following capacities: Risk, Compliance, Project Management, Collaboration across multiple teams
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to break down complex situations and explain in easy to understand terminology to other groups and executives within the Bank
- Ability to multitask; self starter; able to traverse the Organization to find answers to complex issues
