As a Security Officer - Unarmed Shipyard Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic aerospace and defense location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through established channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, contractors, and visitors in accordance with location protocols common to an aerospace and defense environment.
• Support Allied Universal and site leadership with routine reports, communication of security-related concerns, and follow-up on policy or procedure issues as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 6 or more months of security-related experience is required.
• A TSA issued TWIC is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
