How the Oslo Digital Design Team Works
The Digital Design team in Oslo is part of the Digital Subsystems (DSS) group at Silicon Labs. The DSS group is responsible for the research and development of digital architectures and IP from concept through production. We develop processors (including RISC-V), compute engines for AI/ML, accelerators, peripherals, and system IP. The Oslo team also develops digital designs that interface with analog and mixed-signal modules. This work requires close collaboration with analog design, verification, and software teams.
Our activities include advanced research and development, architecture, RTL design, timing, power, and area optimization, and formal verification within an automated framework. We value innovation, simplicity, quality, and smart development processes within a highly collaborative and learning-driven team.
Why this position matters
The Internet of Things is a fast-growing and innovative market. Silicon Labs develops highly integrated, market-leading mixed-signal SoCs for IoT applications that are used in millions of products worldwide. The Oslo Digital Design team plays an important role in developing the technology behind these products.
As a Digital Design Engineer, you will work with digital verification, analog design, software, and product teams to define, implement, and deliver key digital features for Silicon Labs.
What makes You a great fit
You would be a great fit for this position if you are a motivated and curious recent graduate with a foundation in digital design. You are interested in learning the complete digital IC design flow, from specification and microarchitecture through RTL implementation, verification, synthesis, and integration. You enjoy solving technical problems, collaborating with others, and communicating your ideas clearly. You do not need to know everything on day one; we value strong fundamentals, initiative, and a willingness to learn.
