About Us
Animal Hospital of Regency Park is growing! We recently welcomed Dr. Aileen Simpson to our veterinary team and are looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to help support her and our patients.
Our hospital combines compassionate, community-focused care with advanced diagnostic capabilities. Team members have the opportunity to work with exciting equipment and services, including a CT scanner and allergy testing, while continuing to strengthen their clinical skills. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys surgery, dentistry, and being part of a collaborative veterinary team.
Qualifications
Experience working as a veterinary technician or veterinary assistant.
Experience assisting with surgical and dental procedures is strongly preferred.
Strong animal handling and restraint skills.
Knowledge of veterinary clinical procedures and patient care.
Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
Veterinary Technician Certification or licensure as a CVT, RVT, or LVT is preferred but not required.
Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program is preferred but not required.
Comfortable learning and working with advanced diagnostic equipment and services.
Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and diagnostic procedures.
Prepare for and assist with surgical and dental procedures.
Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.
Safely handle and restrain animals.
Administer medications, vaccines, and prescribed treatments.
Collect and prepare laboratory samples.
Maintain complete and accurate patient records.
Educate clients on medications, treatments, preventive care, and at-home instructions.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked hospital environment.
Provide compassionate care and support to patients and their families.
