What You’ll Do
- Set up and prepare machinery for automatic cutting or hole-punching operations.
- Measure product length and width using a tape measure.
- Operate machine controls to produce the required quantity of product.
- Monitor work for accuracy and quality throughout the production process.
- Work toward established daily production goals while maintaining quality and safety.
- Read and follow work orders, safety requirements, operating instructions, and procedures.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Support other production activities as assigned.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read work orders and use a tape measure accurately.
- Basic math and ruler-measurement skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Dependable attendance, a positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
- Prior machine-operation or manufacturing experience is helpful, but not required.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
To perform the essential functions of this position, the employee must be able to:
- Frequently lift, carry, and position abrasive materials weighing 10 to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Sit for prolonged periods and reach forward frequently while operating equipment.
- Use hands and fingers frequently for machine operation and material handling.
- Work safely near moving mechanical parts and with occasional vibration.
- Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, airborne particles, adhesives, some chemicals, and moderate noise.
- Wear and properly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
