Nurse Practitioner
Location: Rebound Behavioral Health Hospital, 134 E Rebound Road, Lancaster, SC
Rebound Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing behavioral health team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced acute inpatient psychiatric setting focused on rapid stabilization and patient-centered care.
Position Highlights:
- Full-time position, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 2 openings available
- Competitive compensation at $70/hour
- Productivity bonus of $50 per patient per day for caseloads of 18 patients or more
- On Call responsibilities on an as-needed basis
- Additional $225 per night (Monday–Friday)
- Additional $300 per night (Saturday–Sunday)
Facility Overview:
Rebound Behavioral Health Hospital is one of the region's leading providers of inpatient and outpatient care for mental health concerns and substance use disorders. Located on a peaceful, wooded estate in Lancaster, South Carolina, our facility provides comprehensive treatment for adults age 18 and older of all genders. In addition to treating addiction and mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, and posttraumatic stress disorder, Rebound Behavioral Health Hospital provides care for individuals who have dual diagnosis, which is the clinical term for the simultaneous presence of a mental illness and a substance use disorder.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner
- Board Certified or Board Eligible PMHNP
- Active DEA license preferred
- Behavioral health experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality psychiatric care in an inpatient behavioral health setting
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illness, independently or as part of a healthcare team.
- Participate in the formulation of patient Master Treatment Plan
- Assess physical and psychiatric health of patient and formulate measures to meet patient needs.
- Chart clinical observation (direct or through dictation), evaluations and treatment of patient in required time according to facility guidelines.
- Provide medication management and psychiatric treatment focused on rapid stabilization
- Ensure clear, compliant, and accurate clinical documentation to support ongoing treatment plans
- Communicate patient progress, treatment goals, and discharge readiness with the interdisciplinary care team
- Participate in call coverage as needed
- Communicate with physicians and other staff as necessary to provide quality care for patient within appropriate guidelines.
- Encourage family involvement in patient care. Respond to identified patient and family educational needs.
- Support and follow legal requirements, hospital policy and procedures, medical staff bylaws and regulatory requirements.
- Provide services that are in accordance with the state guidelines for Nurse Practitioners.
- Provide on-call responsibilities on scheduled basis directed by medical staff.
- May focus on health promotion and disease prevention. May order, perform or interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays. May prescribe medication.
- Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.
Qualifications
- Master's in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner program required
- Clinical experience working with the patient population of the facility; ability to demonstrate knowledge of concepts of limit setting, therapeutic boundaries, crisis management, therapeutic treatment, environment and patient care required
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Practicing Nurse Practitioner preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner required
- Licensed to practice in the state in which the facility operates
- DEA license
