Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by investigating and resolving issues that arise within various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to monitoring system performance, identifying root causes of disruptions, and ensuring the smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands continuous collaboration with different teams to maintain system stability and deliver timely solutions that support business continuity and operational efficiency.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to streamline issue resolution and improve system reliability.
- Mentor junior team members to enhance their technical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
- Monitor system health and proactively identify potential risks to prevent service disruptions.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Oracle Database Administration (DBA).
- Experience in database performance tuning, backup and recovery strategies, and security management.
- Strong knowledge of database architecture, installation, configuration, and patching.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues and optimize SQL queries for improved performance.
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages to streamline database administration tasks.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration (DBA).
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
