Application Support Engineer

Act as software detectives, provide a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems.

Summary: As an Application Support Engineer, you will spend your day investigating and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. Your role involves carefully analyzing system behavior, collaborating with different teams to understand challenges, and ensuring smooth operation of software applications that support critical business functions. You will engage in continuous monitoring and troubleshooting to maintain system reliability and performance, contributing to the overall success of the organization’s technology environment. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and provide timely resolutions. - Document findings and solutions clearly to support knowledge sharing within the team. - Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues before they impact business operations. - Assist in the implementation of process improvements to enhance system stability and user experience. Professional & Technical Skills: - Required Skill: Expert proficiency in Java Enterprise Edition. - Additional Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Japanese Language. - Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture and middleware technologies. - Experience with debugging and troubleshooting complex software issues in production environments. - Familiarity with application lifecycle management and support tools. - Ability to analyze logs and system metrics to identify root causes of problems. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in Java Enterprise Edition. - This position is based at our Manila office.
