As the Managing Director for Singapore, you will be responsible for leading the overall business performance, growth strategy, and profitability of Ingram Micro Singapore with full P&L accountability. Reporting to the SVP & Chief Country Executive, ASEAN & Hong Kong, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing the country strategy, ensuring alignment with regional and corporate objectives while identifying new opportunities for sustainable growth in a rapidly evolving technology market.
Key Responsibility
- Provide visionary leadership to the Singapore business by translating corporate strategy into actionable business plans that deliver revenue growth, profitability, and long-term shareholder value. Anticipate market trends, emerging technologies, competitive dynamics, and new business opportunities to position the organization to capitalize on growth areas across technology solutions, services, and digital platforms.
- As the leader of the Singapore business, you will be responsible for developing and executing annual and long-term business plans, setting strategic priorities, allocating resources effectively, and ensuring the achievement of key financial and operational targets. You will oversee sales and business development strategies, strengthen the company's market position, and cultivate strong relationships with customers, vendors, channel partners, and key stakeholders to create sustainable competitive advantage and long-term value.
- You will lead the ongoing transformation of the organization by driving innovation, embracing digitalization, and building new capabilities that enable the business to adapt to changing market demands. This role requires a leader who can challenge the status quo, create new growth opportunities, and guide teams through change while maintaining high levels of engagement and performance.
- A key aspect of the role is to lead a high-performance organization. You will define and evolve the organizational structure to support business objectives, develop leadership capability across the business, and create a culture that values collaboration, accountability, innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and mentoring future leaders while ensuring the organization attracts, retains, and develops top talent.
- As the most senior leader in Singapore, you will represent Ingram Micro externally with customers, partners, industry associations, business communities, and other key stakeholders. You will act as a trusted ambassador for the company, strengthening its reputation, influence, and presence within the technology ecosystem.
- You will also be accountable for financial stewardship, including budgeting, investment decisions, performance management, and ensuring the business delivers against its short-term commitments while building sustainable long-term growth. In addition, you will ensure strong governance, risk management, and compliance with Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) standards, fostering a workplace culture that prioritizes integrity, employee wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, sustainability, and responsible business practices.
Leadership Characteristics
- The successful candidate will be a strategic and inspirational leader with the ability to envision the future and translate that vision into measurable business outcomes. You will be recognized for your ability to create new opportunities, challenge conventional thinking, and drive innovation while maintaining a strong focus on execution and results.
- You will excel at getting work done through others by leading high-performing teams, setting clear objectives, empowering people to succeed, and holding leaders accountable for delivering business outcomes. You are an exceptional coach and mentor who invests in developing talent and creating future leaders.
- You will demonstrate courage and resilience in the face of challenges, confidently addressing difficult situations, making tough decisions when required, and leading the organization through periods of change and uncertainty. Your ability to navigate complexity, manage ambiguity, and maintain composure under pressure will be critical to success.
- As a people leader, you possess strong judgment in assessing talent, recognizing potential, and building diverse teams that leverage different perspectives and experiences. You create an environment where individuals feel valued, motivated, and inspired to perform at their best.
- You combine a strong bias for action with a relentless focus on outcomes, driving initiatives to completion while balancing strategic priorities with operational excellence. At the same time, you inspire confidence and commitment across the organization through authentic leadership, clear communication, and a compelling vision for the future.
- Your leadership style is characterized by openness, approachability, empathy, and cultural sensitivity. You actively listen, foster constructive dialogue, build trust with stakeholders, and create an inclusive environment where people feel safe to contribute ideas and challenge thinking.
