More about this role
Mondelez Digital Services (MDS) is looking for Full Stack AI Engineers to join a growing engineering team building a new AI-powered insights platform. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary squad designing and delivering the intelligent systems that turn raw market data into decision-ready recommendations for stakeholders across global, regional, and local teams.
The team needs engineers across several disciplines — full stack development, AI/ML engineering, and data engineering — and each successful candidate will specialise in one or more of these areas while contributing to the platform end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines that ingest, transform, and serve market and business data using Python, Databricks (Delta Lake, Spark), and AWS services.
- Develop and deploy AI/ML models and LLM-based workflows, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and agent orchestration using frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph.
- Build and ship full stack applications (APIs, backend services, and front-end interfaces) that surface AI-generated insights to business users — using Python, React/Next.js, and cloud-native services.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for pipelines, models, and applications to ensure reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency in production.
- Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs, user stories, and working software.
- Contribute to platform architecture decisions, including infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), containerisation (Docker), and CI/CD practices.
- Write clean, tested, well-documented code and participate in code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and knowledge-sharing across the team.
We Are Looking For Candidates With
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience building production-grade applications or pipelines.
- Experience with one (or more) of the following disciplines: full stack development, AI/ML engineering, or data engineering — with a willingness to broaden across the others.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and familiarity with Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog).
- Exposure to LLMs and generative AI — model integration, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, or agent-based architectures.
- Familiarity with modern web frameworks (e.g. React, Next.js) and API design (REST, GraphQL).
- Understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, and working with structured and unstructured data at scale.
- Solid fundamentals in software engineering: version control (Git), testing, CI/CD, containerisation (Docker), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
- Good communication skills, able to work in a cross-functional team and explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
- Intellectual curiosity and a bias for learning, staying current with the fast-moving AI/ML landscape.
Nice to Have
- Experience with agent orchestration frameworks (e.g. LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI).
- Familiarity with the Databricks ecosystem (MLflow, Feature Store, Genie).
- Exposure to NLP or multimodal AI.
- Experience with monitoring/observability tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud and AI infrastructure.
- Prior experience in a CPG/FMCG environment or working with syndicated market data (Nielsen, Circana/IRI, Kantar).
