Fredericksburg Orthopedic Associates (FOA) is a growing, multi-specialty orthopedic practice with 30+ providers and five modern facilities serving the Fredericksburg and Stafford communities. We are seeking a motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team and provide comprehensive orthopedic care in collaboration with an Orthopedic Surgeon.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on role offering an excellent mix of surgical and outpatient orthopedic experience. You'll assist in the OR while also managing patients throughout their continuum of care—from initial evaluation through surgery and post-operative recovery.

Schedule: 4.5-day workweek

Setting: Operating Room + Outpatient Orthopedic Clinic

Patient Mix: New patients, follow-ups, pre-op and post-op care

Compensation: $115,000–$150,000 + productivity bonus

What You'll Do

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions
• Perform histories and physical exams and develop treatment plans
• Order and interpret X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and laboratory studies
• Manage pre-operative and post-operative patients
• Perform appropriate office-based procedures, including injections, splinting, and casting
• Educate patients on conservative and surgical treatment options
• Assist the Orthopedic Surgeon in the operating room
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, PT/OT, and clinical staff to provide coordinated care

What We're Looking For

• Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program
• Current or eligible for Virginia licensure
• NCCPA certification or applicable NP board certification/eligibility
• DEA license or eligibility
• Orthopedic experience preferred
