Product Development Coordinator for Travel Bags & Accessories

 

We are now hiring a Product Development Coordinator for Travel Bags & Accessories for a Los Angeles consumer products company. You’ll help bring backpacks, duffels, totes, and other travel accessories from concept to production while working with overseas factories and cross-functional teams.

This is a strong opportunity for someone with hands-on soft goods development experience who wants broader exposure to sourcing, costing, sampling, and production.

Hybrid Role 

RESPONSIBILITES

• Drive travel bag and accessory development toward production.
• Coordinate samples, materials, hardware, colors, and product revisions.
• Work directly with overseas factories on quality, pricing, and timelines.
• Review samples for construction, materials, components, and overall execution.
• Support product costing and factory quotations.
• Maintain accurate product, SKU, pricing, and sample information.
• Partner with design, merchandising, sales, and production teams.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3 years of product development experience in travel goods, luggage, handbags, accessories, or soft goods.
• Strong knowledge of sampling, materials, construction, hardware, costing, and production.
• Experience working directly with overseas factories and vendors.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Excel and Outlook proficiency required; experience with product management platforms, Illustrator, or Photoshop is a plus.
