Senior Financial Analyst, B2B Controllership

Introduction to the Team

Private Label Solutions (PLS) is the B2B arm of Expedia Group. We bring Expedia Group’s innovative technology and distribution solutions to partners across the world, including global financial institutions, corporate managed travel programs, offline travel agents, global travel suppliers, and many more.

The B2B Controllership team enables organizational and strategic goals through financial intelligence and operational excellence. In this role, you will partner with Account Management, Product, Finance, Technology, and corporate teams to support the growth of Expedia Group’s B2B business. You will serve as a trusted advisor, help strengthen operational processes, and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting for internal and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Participate in recurring pipeline reviews, monitor progress, and report status.
• Support new partner onboarding, including timely contract review and pre- and post-implementation activities.
• Identify, assess, and communicate partner implementation risks.
• Lead the monthly accruals process within Accounting’s month-end close timelines and SOX control requirements.
• Prepare monthly payment and partner marketing fee reporting packages in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Analyze financial results and investigate transaction-related questions.
• Manage the processing of marketing fund invoices.
• Maintain accurate SOX documentation and support compliance activities.
• Analyze business and operational processes to identify improvement opportunities.
• Recommend, design, and implement scalable, effective, and SOX-compliant process enhancements.
• Present complex financial concepts and technical information clearly to non-financial partners.
• Build productive working relationships across internal teams and external partners.
• Contribute to ad hoc projects and other priorities as needed.

Experience and Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience.
• Three or more years of professional Accounting, Finance, or Audit experience.
• Experience building effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment while maintaining focus on business goals and objectives.
• Advanced Excel skills, including experience working with large and complex data sets.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred

• Public accounting experience.
• Experience with SOX controls, financial reporting, month-end close, or audit processes.
• Experience supporting partner contracts, implementation activities, invoicing, or fee reporting.
• Experience improving operational processes through data analysis and scalable solutions.
• Experience working in a B2B, technology, travel, or marketplace environment.

The total cash range for this position in Chicago is $76,500.00 to $107,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $122,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
