If you are already successful in Electronic Security sales but want more influence over how you develop your market, this role gives you the opportunity to do exactly that.
You will take a leading role in growing an established Electronic Security business in Darwin, developing new business while continuing to build relationships and opportunities with existing customers across defence, government and commercial sectors. You will have greater involvement across the sales process, with the autonomy to understand your market, shape solutions and progress opportunities.
What will your role involve?
- Identifying and developing new Electronic Security business opportunities across Darwin, with scope to develop the wider Northern Territory market.
- Building relationships with prospective and existing customers to identify and convert opportunities.
- Understanding customer requirements and recommending solutions across CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, monitoring and connected services.
- Meeting with customers, undertaking site visits and discussing their current and future security requirements.
- Involvement in estimates, proposals and tenders as opportunities progress.
- Working with technical, estimating and operational teams when specialist input is required.
- Managing your pipeline, forecasts and customer information within the CRM.
- Building your professional network and representing the business within the local market.
- Keeping up to date with Electronic Security technology, relevant standards and industry developments.
About you
You are an experienced Electronic Security sales professional who knows how to open doors, ask the right questions and build credibility with customers. You are commercially minded, technically capable and comfortable being involved beyond the initial sales conversation.
You will bring:
- Australian Citizenship is essential to obtain an NV1 Security Clearance, which is required to work with defence customers.
- Proven business development or technical sales experience within Electronic Security.
- Strong knowledge of Electronic Security systems and solutions.
- A demonstrated ability to develop new business and grow existing customer relationships.
- Strong commercial judgement, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence engaging with customers and understanding both their operational and commercial requirements.
- The ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities independently.
- Confidence using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- A current Australian Driver's Licence.
