Job Description:

DXC Technology is a leading enterprise technology and innovation partner delivering software, services, and solutions to global enterprises and public sector organizations — helping them harness AI to drive outcomes at a time of exponential change with speed. With deep expertise in Managed Infrastructure Services, Application Modernization, and Industry-Specific Software Solutions, DXC modernizes, secures, and operates some of the world's most complex technology estates.

DXC's Insurance Software and BPS (ISB) helps insurers around the world modernize and run their core operations at scale by combining deep industry expertise, proven software platforms, and innovative AI-driven solutions. A global market leader in core insurance platforms, ISB delivers solutions across policy administration, claims, billing, analytics, and digital engagement supporting Life & Annuity, Property & Casualty, and Specialty insurance markets. You’ll directly shape how the world's leading insurers operate by helping to transform the policy, underwriting, and claims systems that millions of people rely on every day.

As a Product Manager, Insurance Services within DXC Technology's Insurance Software and Business Process Services (BPS) organization, you will be responsible for managing the Insurance Services roadmap and ensuring successful delivery of capabilities that meet customer needs, business objectives, and operational requirements. Working closely with Product Leadership, Architecture, Engineering, Delivery, Operations, Sales, and Customer Success teams, you will translate business requirements into scalable product capabilities and technical solutions that support modernization and operational transformation.

This role requires a strong blend of product management, business analysis, solution design, and technical leadership skills. The successful candidate will lead customer discovery, requirements gathering, business process improvement, backlog management, release planning, and stakeholder alignment activities while partnering closely with Architecture and Engineering teams to deliver API-driven, microservices-based solutions that improve business outcomes and customer experience.

The ideal candidate has experience applying modern Product Management techniques including customer discovery, collaborative discovery workshops, user story mapping, rapid prototyping, requirements decomposition, Agile delivery practices, and continuous backlog refinement. This individual must be comfortable working across business and technical teams to define solutions, prioritize investments, and drive successful execution.

Key Responsibilities

Insurance Services Roadmap and Delivery Management

  • Own and manage the Insurance Services roadmap, backlog, priorities, and release plans.

  • Partner with Product Leadership to translate strategic objectives into actionable product and service initiatives.

  • Define and prioritize features, enhancements, integrations, and operational improvements based on customer requirements, business value, technical feasibility, and organizational priorities.

  • Lead roadmap planning, backlog grooming, release readiness activities, and stakeholder communications.

  • Maintain backlog quality and readiness within Jira, ensuring work is properly refined, prioritized, and aligned with delivery objectives.

  • Work closely with Engineering, Architecture, Delivery, and Operations teams to ensure successful execution of roadmap commitments.

  • Manage dependencies, risks, technical constraints, and competing priorities across multiple initiatives.

  • Support annual planning, release planning, and portfolio prioritization activities.

  • Monitor roadmap progress and communicate status, risks, milestones, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.

Product Discovery, Requirements, and Process Design

  • Lead customer discovery activities to understand business needs, operational challenges, workflow inefficiencies, and modernization opportunities.

  • Facilitate collaborative discovery workshops with customers, business stakeholders, architects, engineers, and operational teams.

  • Gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements that support scalable solution development.

  • Utilize modern Product Management practices including User Story Mapping, customer journey mapping, process modeling, and design thinking techniques.

  • Create user stories, epics, acceptance criteria, process flows, capability maps, and solution requirements that clearly communicate business objectives to technical teams.

  • Drive Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) initiatives by identifying opportunities for process simplification, automation, workflow optimization, and operational transformation.

  • Partner with stakeholders to validate proposed solutions through rapid prototyping, proof-of-concept activities, and iterative feedback cycles.

  • Ensure traceability between business objectives, customer requirements, technical solutions, and delivered outcomes.

Technology and Modernization Enablement

  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of DXC Insurance Services platforms, APIs, integration frameworks, workflow solutions, and shared technology services.

  • Partner with Architecture and Engineering teams to define scalable solutions leveraging API-first, microservices-based, and cloud-enabled architectures.

  • Participate in solution design discussions involving APIs, integrations, event-driven architectures, workflow automation, data services, AI-enabled capabilities, and modernization initiatives.

  • Define and prioritize requirements for system integrations, APIs, workflow automation, and reusable business services.

  • Support the evolution of reusable business capabilities, shared components, services, integrations, and technical accelerators.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to evaluate modernization opportunities, technical debt reduction, cloud adoption strategies, and platform improvements.

  • Ensure product requirements align with architecture standards, security requirements, compliance obligations, and operational support models.

Cross-Functional Leadership and Execution

  • Collaborate across Product Management, Architecture, Engineering, Delivery, Operations, Business Process Services, and Customer Success teams.

  • Facilitate prioritization discussions, backlog refinement sessions, sprint planning activities, and stakeholder decision-making processes.

  • Balance customer needs, operational objectives, technical constraints, and strategic priorities when making product decisions.

  • Communicate complex business and technical concepts effectively across executive, operational, and technical audiences.

  • Coordinate execution activities required to deliver roadmap commitments on time and within scope.

  • Support customer adoption, go-to-market readiness, product demonstrations, and strategic customer engagements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 7-10 years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Solution Design, Software Delivery, or related disciplines.

  • Proven experience gathering and translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

  • Experience facilitating customer discovery sessions, requirements workshops, and cross-functional solution design activities.

  • Strong experience managing product roadmaps, Agile backlogs, release planning, and cross-functional delivery efforts.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across business and technical teams to deliver complex initiatives.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, presentation, and facilitation skills.

  • Experience supporting customer engagements, product demonstrations, RFP responses, and strategic growth initiatives.

Technical Skills and Experience

Required

  • Strong experience with Agile Product Management and Product Owner practices.

  • Advanced experience using Jira for backlog management, sprint planning, release planning, workflow management, and backlog grooming.

  • Expertise in User Story Mapping, Epic decomposition, story refinement, acceptance criteria development, and backlog prioritization.

  • Experience conducting customer discovery, collaborative workshops, requirements elicitation, and solution definition activities.

  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, API lifecycle management, integration patterns, and API-first solution design.

  • Experience working in environments leveraging microservices architectures, service-oriented architectures, and distributed systems.

  • Understanding of event-driven architectures, workflow orchestration, and enterprise integration approaches.

  • Experience creating process models, workflow diagrams, capability maps, business requirements, and solution documentation.

  • Ability to partner effectively with architects and engineering teams to define, prioritize, and deliver technical capabilities.

  • Experience supporting cloud-based platforms and SaaS delivery models.

  • Familiarity with AI-enabled workflows, automation technologies, analytics solutions, and digital transformation initiatives.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting insurance operations, insurance technology solutions, or business process services environments.

  • Experience working on large-scale modernization, digital transformation, API enablement, or cloud migration initiatives.

  • Familiarity with DXC Assure solutions and the broader insurance technology ecosystem.

  • Experience supporting platform modernization, system integration, and operational transformation programs.
