POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Races & Events Manager (or the designated assistants), the ‘Volunteer Coordinator’ helps to execute events. The Coordinator will coordinate volunteers for events and competitions including fundraising events, alpine racing, freestyle, snowboard and mountain bike competitions. In addition, these competitions will include sanctioned international, national, divisional, collegiate, adaptive, high school, corporate, private and club events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- The Volunteer Coordinator will work closely with all departments throughout the Resort, including (but not limited to): Facilities, Marketing, Accounting, Retail, IT, Grounds, Electricians, Village, Sign Shop, Food & Beverage, etc.
- They will assist the set-up and execution of registration, sponsor recognition, awards, and other event activities as needed per event.
- The ‘Volunteer Coordinator’ will follow all Winter Park policies and procedures, all applicable laws (federal, state, and local), and all health and sanitation codes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- This job will require extensive time in the office and requires and a thorough background using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, PC usage and advanced content writing computer skills.
- This job will also require the individual to have the ability to ski on Black Diamond terrain throughout variable mountain conditions and weather.
- This is a job for a person that is hard working and works well with people.
WAGE:
The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Winter Park Resorts' hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Winter Park Resorts' total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.
Hourly pay range: $18 - $22 DOE
OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED:
This position description is an overview of the scope of responsibilities for the role described above. With the evolution of Winter Park Resort, the responsibilities of this position may change as may the dates associated with many of the tasks.
