Role summary:Join Walmart as a Staff Software Engineer specializing in Information Security, where you will lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure software solutions. About the team:
The Security Partners Engineering team is dedicated to safeguarding applications, platforms, and infrastructure by automating security control assessments. This team designs resilient, secure services and AI-driven workflows to enhance security evaluation and minimize enterprise risk. Collaborating closely with development teams, members improve productivity while upholding strong security standards. The team emphasizes expertise in cloud security, application security, automation, and software development life cycle processes. Members contribute to scalable, maintainable solutions that support Walmart’s commitment to secure and reliable technology environments, ensuring robust protection across all systems and services.
What you'll do:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, analyze, and address technical and business requirements, ensuring alignment with security objectives.
- Design scalable, modular, and secure software architectures that meet functional and non-functional requirements.
- Develop, review, and maintain high-quality code using languages such as Python, Java, and SQL, adhering to coding standards and security controls.
- Implement continuous integration and delivery pipelines to support efficient and secure software deployment.
- Build agentic systems, skills and vibe code to accelerate development and automation needed
- Lead defect management, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to enhance software reliability and security.
- Support functional teams by providing technical guidance on cybersecurity best practices.
What you'll bring:
- Proficiency in programming languages including Python, Java, and SQL, with strong coding skills and agentic building experience.
- Experience designing scalable software architectures and implementing security controls within cloud computing environments.
- Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to support efficient software delivery.
- Ability to manage stakeholder relationships through effective communication, analysis, and engagement techniques.
- Expertise in requirement analysis, risk assessment, and translating business needs into functional and non-functional software solutions.
- Familiarity with software testing methodologies, defect management, and root cause analysis to ensure product quality and security.
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience in telemetry, disaster recovery design, and modular solution development.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
