We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Production Coordinator to join our dynamic printing company. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and distribute daily print schedules, job tickets, and related materials
- Create Excel spreadsheets and maintain data
- Database management of electronic files
- Effectively communicate job status with management, project management, and production teams
- Arrange meetings as needed
- Provide internal customer support with the press and finishing machines’ electronic computer system, and troubleshoot and collaborate with information technology department to determine and correct system errors
- Main point of contact regarding the press and finishing machines’ electronic computer system
- Coordinate customer sample requirements with client services team, ensuring optimal quality
- Maintain quality sample library
- Effectively observe and judge that quality levels are maintained and notify management if quality levels are not achieved
- Perform repetitive inspections to identify defects and variations from established standards
- Monitor the progress of jobs throughout production, confer with manufacturing operations on the counts and final runs and ensure the final product meets customer requirements and company standards
- Assist Safety Coordinator with management of safety efforts and policies
- Active member of Safety Committee, assist in the planning, implementation, and administration of safety programs and initiatives
- Observe work areas for unsafe conditions and take appropriate action to correct issues
- Participate in onsite inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices
- Actively contribute to building a strong health and safety culture across the whole of Mittera New York
- Maintain positive and proactive relations with managers and employees
- All other duties as assigned

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Printing experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong basic Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
- Ability to learn and master new applications quickly
- Knowledgeable quality standards and can recognize quality defects
- Must have continual attention to detail in establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization and customers
- Self-motivated with a passion for job excellence
Physical Requirements
- Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, and periods of walking and standing.
- Must be able to lift 20-40 pounds.
- Requires fine motor hand and arm movement, manual dexterity and coordination.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department in the facility.
