Platinum Technologies currently has an opportunity for a Senior Software Developer.
This role is HYBRID located in Fort Braggs, N.C. Candidate must hold an active SECRET clearance.
What you get to do.
- Designs, develops, tests, and maintains software applications and solutions in support of mission requirements.
- Develops scalable, secure, and efficient software solutions that meet technical and operational requirements.
- Leads and supports software development activities throughout the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
- Develops and integrates APIs, services, and application components to enable interoperability across systems and platforms.
- Troubleshoots complex software issues, identifies root causes, and implements effective solutions.
- Optimizes application performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Applies secure coding practices and ensures software solutions meet applicable cybersecurity and compliance requirements.
- Conducts code reviews and supports development standards, documentation, configuration management, and version control practices.
- Works closely with developers, engineers, architects, cybersecurity personnel, and operators to translate functional and technical requirements into software solutions.
- Supports integration, testing, deployment, and ongoing enhancement of software capabilities.
- Provides technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers.
- Evaluates emerging technologies, development frameworks, and tools and recommends solutions that improve development efficiency and mission outcomes.
Required Skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum seven (7+) years of software development experience.
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications.
- Strong understanding of software development processes, lifecycle management, and Agile workflows.
- Experience developing and integrating APIs, services, and application components.
- Experience with source code management and version control tools such as GitLab or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of secure coding practices and software security requirements.
- Experience troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving complex software issues.
- Ability to work closely with developers, designers, engineers, and operators to translate functional requirements into software solutions.
