About the Position

Beacon Community Management is seeking a Custodian to join the team at a well-maintained mid-rise condominium community in Atlanta's 30308 area.

This 78-residence condominium is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented, and service-minded individual to help maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall presentation of the building. The Custodian will be responsible for maintaining common areas and shared spaces while helping ensure the property consistently provides a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents and their guests.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, notices the details others may overlook, and understands the importance of maintaining a professional appearance in a residential community.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain common areas throughout the condominium community.
• Maintain cleanliness of building entrances, lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, and other shared spaces.
• Clean and maintain resident amenities and common-use areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize assigned areas.
• Clean windows, glass doors, mirrors, and other surfaces as needed.
• Empty and replace trash and recycling receptacles throughout the property.
• Maintain clean and orderly trash collection areas.
• Restock paper products, cleaning supplies, and other necessary items as needed.
• Monitor common areas and report maintenance, safety, or repair concerns to the appropriate member of the management team.
• Assist with maintaining the appearance of the building's exterior areas as needed.
• Address spills, messes, and other cleanliness issues in a timely manner.
• Assist with preparation and cleanup of common areas following resident events or community activities.
• Properly use and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures when handling cleaning products and equipment.
• Maintain an organized supply area and notify management when supplies need to be replenished.
• Communicate professionally with residents, guests, vendors, and Beacon Community Management staff.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while working throughout the community.
• Perform other custodial, cleaning, and building-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

 Qualifications

• Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, hospitality, or building maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and reliable.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain consistent cleanliness standards.
• Comfortable working around residents, guests, vendors, and other building personnel.
• Professional and courteous demeanor.
• Ability to safely operate common cleaning equipment and tools.
• Ability to follow instructions and established cleaning and safety procedures.
• Ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment as required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
