Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following, Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist with the review of the Default lifecycle, including the Default Claims process, and perform reconciliation of default loans.
- Perform financial reconciliation of default expenses and funds received from the date of default to current date.
- Pull data and documentation from multiple sources to compile and create loan files for senior review.
- Validate that Investor or Agency reporting was completed accurately and on time.
- Assist in researching identified controllable delays, process gaps, or reporting errors; provide findings to management for remediation.
- Monitor and track agency (FHA, VA, USDA) and GSE timelines, allowables, and compensatory fees.
- Track and document state and federal regulatory changes impacting default processes.
- Communicate and research issues, providing clear explanations of findings. This includes properly escalating issues to senior team members.
- Collaborate with other business units to review timelines and confirm compliance; identify controllable vs. uncontrollable delay drivers.
- Support the billback process to request reimbursement from investors, insurers, and/or vendors as needed.
- Maintain accurate record retention and source supporting evidence as needed.
- Provide assistance to the team with business needs as required, including specialized projects.

Education/Experience: Requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED);
Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Read, analyze and interpret business, professional, technical or governmental documents. Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and the public.
Mathematical Ability:

Computer Skills:
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, Outlook, Internet Explorer) with emphasis on Excel formulas such as VLOOKUP, INDEXMATCH, and Pivot tables. ICE Technology Software such as MSP Director, Loansphere Claims and Proven Claims. Understanding of basic query logic and familiarity with Investor claims reimbursement systems such as FHA Connection, Catalyst, Valeri, and FHLMC PAID.
