At our Operations Department in Medtronic, plc., we focus on delivering premium quality products to our customers on time. The Senior Operations Program Manager will work closely with Operations teams to implement best practices in procurement, onboarding and training of people to meet business needs and objectives. The Senior Operations Program Manager will be directly involved in enabling achievement of business objectives across Safety, Quality, Service and Cost for Operations.

A Day in The Life Of:

• Development and implementation of activities in production areas to meet production goals, compliance, quality, and cost objectives.

• Defines and implements a site-wide training strategy for the Parkmore site, aligned to Fabriq, ensuring capability build, skills tracking, and compliance with operating procedures and operational standards.

• Plans and administer procedures and budgets.

• Makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor.

• Selects, develops, and coaches personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the Operations function.

• Develop schedules and resource requirements for assigned areas.

• Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.

• Leads absence management processes, partnering with HR and people leaders to drive consistency, reduce absenteeism, and support employee engagement.

• Manages supplier contracts and on-site activity, ensuring delivery to agreed scope, performance standards, cost targets, and compliance requirements.

• Collaborates and liaises with manufacturing leaders and supervisors to align operational priorities, workforce planning, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Champions and embeds the Medtronic Performance System (MPS) mindset, driving a culture of continuous improvement, problem solving, and operational excellence across the site.

Key Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree NFQ level 8 and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience

• Strong leadership skills and proven ability to build relationships and influence effectively indirectly in a large global, matrixed organization.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team

• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude

• Strong Knowledge of Operations documentation and site Quality Systems, including Compliance.

• A demonstrated commitment to Continuous Improvement.

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
