Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and responsible Courier Driver to join our team in Pietermaritzburg. As a Courier Driver, you will be responsible for picking up and delivering packages to their designated locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. The ideal candidate will have excellent time management skills, a strong work ethic, and a customer-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate a company vehicle to pick up and deliver packages to assigned locations.
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes for delivery to ensure timely and safe delivery.
• Handle and load packages with care to prevent damage during transportation.
• Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor while interacting with clients.
• Ensure all packages are delivered to the correct recipient and obtain necessary signatures and documentation.
• Communicate any delays or issues with deliveries to the appropriate parties.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of deliveries, including delivery times and signatures.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a courier or delivery driver.
• Familiarity with Pietermaritzburg and surrounding areas.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 pounds.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
