As an Engineering Manager in the Bucharest office, you'll play a key leadership role in driving technical excellence, team development, and innovation across the engineering organization. You will lead and mentor a team of talented engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.

In detail:

• Leadership & People Development:
  Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers, guiding them through technical challenges, career development, and continuous learning.
• Technical Excellence:
  Partner with architects and senior developers to define best practices, ensure clean code, and maintain high standards for reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Delivery Ownership:
  Ensure the successful delivery of projects across teams by fostering agile ways of working (SCRUM/KANBAN), managing priorities, and removing blockers.
• Collaboration:
  Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other Engineering Leaders to define product roadmaps and translate business goals into impactful technical solutions.
• Innovation & Improvement:
  Encourage experimentation and innovation through regular "Innovation Time" and contribute to building a culture of technical curiosity and excellence.
• Strategic Contribution:
  Support the establishment and growth of the company's TECH hub in Romania, helping shape the local engineering culture and aligning with the group's global tech vision.

Required Qualifications:

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software development, including 3+ years in a technical leadership or management role.
• Strong hands-on experience with modern web technologies and cloud architectures (e.g., Kotlin, Java, TypeScript, GCP).
• Proven track record in leading agile teams and delivering complex, scalable web applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - you inspire trust, clarity, and motivation in your team.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
