About this opportunity:

We currently have an opportunity to join our People and Culture team in Melbourne as a Talent Acquisition Partner This is a hybrid role covering both talent acquisition and people operations for our Australian business. On the talent side, you'll own end-to-end recruitment for our Sales, Customer Experience (CSMs/AMs), Support, and Marketing teams - building pipeline, running interview processes, and helping us bring exceptional people into Podium. On the people operations side, you'll be the on-the-ground HR point of contact for our Australian team, supporting onboarding, performance management, people & culture initiatives, and compliance (including visa/work rights).

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants genuine breadth early in their People career - spanning full-cycle recruiting and core HR operations - while playing a visible role in scaling Podium's Australian team.

What you will be doing:

Talent Acquisition

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for Sales (SDR/AE), CX (CSM/AM), Support, and Marketing roles across the Australian business
• Build and maintain candidate pipelines through sourcing, LinkedIn outreach, referrals, and job boards
• Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, interview frameworks, and assessment criteria
• Coordinate and help facilitate interview processes, ensuring a strong and consistent candidate experience
• Manage offer processes, including negotiation support and coordination with hiring managers
• Maintain accurate recruitment reporting and pipeline data (ATS, trackers, dashboards)

People Operations

• Act as the primary Australian HR point of contact for day-to-day employee queries and local escalations
• Support the rollout and implementation of People & Culture initiatives, policies, and programs across the Australian team
• Partner with managers on onboarding for new starters, ensuring a smooth and consistent first-90-days experience
• Support performance management processes, including check-ins, documentation, and manager coaching
• Ensure compliance with Australian employment law, visa/work rights requirements, and relevant HR record-keeping
• Maintain accurate employee data and documentation in HR systems

What you should have:

• 3+ years of experience in talent acquisition and people operations 
• Experience recruiting for sales, customer-facing, or support functions is highly desirable
• Working knowledge of Australian employment law and visa/work rights compliance (or strong willingness to build this expertise quickly)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the judgment to handle sensitive HR matters with discretion
• Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities across recruiting and HR operations
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving processes
• Experience with ATS platforms and/or HRIS systems is desirable
• Previous SaaS or tech industry experience is a plus
