Position Summary

A critical role to the success of our business in an environment of ever-increasing customer expectations for product and service quality, thACST NAR & EUR Quality Leader is responsible for leading and executing ACST’s quality strategy to meet customer expectations related to the quality management measures for our products and effectively support ACST’s business growth plan. The candidate will also provide leadership to drive continuous improvements of Qnity’s and external collaborative partners’ quality management systems, mindsets, and cultures to lift overall customer satisfaction with our products and services. In addition, the ACST NAR & EUR Quality Leader will be responsible for refining the quality management practices in Hayward CA and Newark DE to align with other ACST manufacturing sites around the world.

The ACST NAR & EUR Quality Leader must be able to coordinate cross-functional efforts, stimulate efficient communications within Qnity ACST business and with external strategic partners, and provide holistic guidance to improve our operation efficiency.

The position requires good knowledge of semiconductor industry, applications of cleaning chemistry and CMP slurry, and quality management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, strengthen, and maintain quality assurance processes/systems in all aspects related to Qnity ACST products.
• Identify & implement improvements to ACST’s quality management systems/programs/tools.  Accountable for overall quality management including influencing Manufacturing, Quality Control, Raw Material Management, and Engineering activities that may affect the quality of our products.
• Responsible for ensuring those techniques (FMEA, SPC, Root Cause Investigation & Change Management processes, etc.) developed to improve quality standards are in place and effectively implemented.
• Key quality stakeholder in the product design/development, scale-up, and HVM processes.
• Communicate customer quality requirements/expectations with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure complete and accurate understanding. Lead the effort to address customer requests.
• Translate the goals of ACST’s global quality organization into specific objectives for the NAR & EUR region. Set up KPIs for measuring performance against the objectives and monitor the accomplishment status of the KPIs.
• People management activities for the quality teams in Hayward CA and Newark DE, including goal setting and progress monitoring, talent development planning, coaching, training, etc.
• Lead team to:
  • Implement appropriate quality control measures to effectively manage and monitor specifications, control limits & trend rules in SPC management system.
  • Review intermediate & product control charts as part of the PCS (Process Control System) process. Investigate trends in product data, determine root causes, & implement corrective or improvement actions.
  • Lead Material Review Board meetings for product quality issues.
  • Prepare qualification plan for changes led by the quality team; help design qualification plan for changes owned by other functions.
  • Investigate and resolve customer quality and performance complaints
  • Respond to customer requests regarding improvements in specifications and quality management processes (control plans, process flow, quality systems, etc).
  • Reinforce collaboration with external strategic partners and drive improvements in process control and quality management capabilities.

Requirements:

• BS degree in a technical discipline such as Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Materials Science.
• 8+ years of experience in the semiconductor or semiconductor materials industry in a technical role (Engineering, R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, etc).

• In-depth understanding of raw materials and applications of cleaning chemistry and CMP slurry along with analytical and functional characterization methodologies.

• Demonstrated success resolving technical challenges in a time-critical situation

• Good performer in a multi-cultural work environment

• Strong leadership skills and people/talent development skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Mandarin or Korean will be a big plus
