The division also performs an important internal role for the Group by providing equities, markets, lending and transaction banking execution capabilities to other CBA business units that allows them to capture opportunities with business customers.

 

This role functional forms part of the Financial Services (FS) team, which is responsible for financial management frameworks of the Commonwealth Bank incorporating the areas of finance, audit, group treasury, security, property, procurements and investor relations.

The IB&M Finance & Operations Asia (IB&M FS Asia) team comprises teams across Singapore, Tokyo, Beijing and Shanghai.

Your direct team is responsible for general administration for Singapore Branch. 

 

Picture yourself in the team:

The purpose of this position is to provide general administrative support services, in an effective and efficient manner, for the Singapore branch.  This position provides an opportunity to interact and deal with internal stakeholders as well as external customers or visitors.

The successful candidate will work closely with, and provide dedicated support to, the CFO, Singapore, while contributing to the continued development of a collaborative team culture and enhanced operational productivity.

This position reports directly to the CFO, Singapore, and maintains a close working relationship with the local Finance team.

 

Do work that matters:

• Lead the day-to-day administration and facilities management of the Singapore Branch, ensuring a professional, efficient and well-managed office environment.
• Provide high-quality administrative and operational support to senior Singapore and regional leadership, as well as broader business stakeholders as required.
• Oversee key office support services including travel and expense management, procurement, supplier management, office and equipment maintenance, security, access and warehousing arrangements.
• Coordinate leadership and team meetings, internal functions, off-sites and employee engagement events, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the Branch’s governance, risk and business continuity requirements, including periodic control reviews, maintenance of procedures and adherence to relevant Bank policies and frameworks.
• Coordinate key corporate administration and regulatory activities, including liaison with the Singapore Corporate Secretary on statutory filings, accounts and changes to directors’ particulars, as well as Group insurance matters.
• Manage operational finance activities including staff expense claims and supplier invoice payments, while supporting ad hoc projects and broader Branch initiatives as required.

• At least 5 years' experience in an office administration role in multinational companies and preferable in foreign bank's branch environment.
• Demonstrated experience supporting senior executives and people management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Exceptional organisational, time management and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and proactive style.
• Independent and with the ability to work unsupervised.
