Position Summary
Marsden is seeking an experienced Claims Administrator to oversee routine workers’ compensation, vehicle, property, and related claims throughout the claim lifecycle. This role helps guide effective claim outcomes through accurate documentation, timely follow-up, clear stakeholder communication, and appropriate escalation of urgent or complex matters.
The Claims Administrator serves as a key point of contact for routine claim activity and partners with internal stakeholders, claimants, adjusters, healthcare providers, and other external partners. The position also supports reporting, regulatory documentation, payment processing, return-to-work coordination, and audit preparation.
What You’ll Do
Administer Claims from Intake Through Closure
• Monitor automated claims intake and determine the appropriate course of action.
• Administer routine workers’ compensation, vehicle, property, and related claims throughout the claim lifecycle.
• Gather and verify claim details, policy information, and required documentation from reporting parties and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain complete and accurate claim files, correspondence, approvals, and system records.
• Review claim documentation, policy provisions, and supporting evidence to assess liability and exposure.
• Develop appropriate response plans and coordinate actions needed to support timely resolution.
• Document findings, decisions, and rationale clearly within the claims system.
Coordinate Stakeholders and Claim Activity
• Serve as a primary point of contact for routine interactions with internal stakeholders, claimants, adjusters, healthcare providers, and other external partners.
• Facilitate timely communication, follow-up, payment processing, and closure activities.
• Coordinate documentation and tracking related to return-to-work, restricted-duty, and other claim-related accommodation processes.
• Escalate urgent or high-exposure claims and assist the Project & Claims Manager with adjusters, providers, and external parties as needed.
• Safeguard sensitive customer, employee, and company information with integrity and discretion.
Support Reporting, Compliance, and Financial Administration
• Assist with claim payments, invoice administration, information gathering, reserve documentation, and other assigned financial support activities.
• Prepare claim summaries, status reports, supporting documentation, and meeting materials for claim reviews, audits, and leadership discussions.
• Develop recurring claims reports, metrics, and dashboards to support monitoring, trend analysis, and decision-making.
• Conduct data analysis and generate reports based on business needs.
• Maintain timely and accurate OSHA records and required claims-related documentation.
• Support regulatory reporting, documentation management, and audit preparation activities.
• Maintain an understanding of Marsden’s business lines and the types of work performed across the organization.
What You’ll Bring
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
• Three to five years of claims experience.
• ARM, CRM, or a related certification preferred.
Claims and Business Capabilities
• Experience using a claims application or database to maintain accurate claim records and documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external partners.
• Sound critical thinking and judgment when reviewing information, identifying relevant facts, and determining appropriate next steps.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• The ability to manage changing priorities, identify routine issues, and escalate matters appropriately.
• Reliability, professionalism, integrity, and respect for confidentiality.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements
The role includes extended periods of desk or computer work, intermittent standing and walking, and occasional lifting and carrying of up to 15 pounds. The position may operate from a standard office or home-based office. Occasional visits to operational sites may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals, noise, or moving equipment, with applicable site-specific safety practices required.
