Packaging Development Sr. Manager

Danone is looking for a Packaging Development Sr. Manager to lead the execution of packaging innovation, renovation, productivity, quality improvement, and sustainability initiatives across Indonesia.

In this role, you will drive the packaging development portfolio from concept to industrialization, ensuring packaging solutions meet business objectives, consumer expectations, food safety requirements, regulatory standards, operational needs, and Danone sustainability commitments.You will act as a key leader connecting R&I, Operations, Industrial, Quality, Marketing, Procurement, Regulatory Affairs, and Global Packaging teams to deliver impactful packaging solutions that support business growth and operational excellence.

 

 

About the Job

You will:

• Lead the packaging innovation, renovation, productivity, quality, and sustainability roadmap for Indonesia.
• Drive end-to-end packaging development projects from concept through commercialization.
• Manage packaging portfolio prioritization, resource allocation, and project governance.
• Ensure packaging solutions comply with Danone standards, food safety requirements, and local regulations.
• Lead packaging validation, specification management, and technical governance processes.
• Drive sustainability and circular packaging initiatives aligned with company commitments.
• Build strong partnerships with suppliers and external stakeholders to accelerate innovation.
• Support business continuity, industrialization, and manufacturing performance improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with regional and global packaging teams to share best practices and deploy new technologies.

 

 

About You

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Packaging Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 8-12 years of experience in Packaging Development, Packaging Innovation, R&I, or related technical functions within FMCG, Food & Beverage, or Consumer Goods industries.
• Proven experience leading technical teams and managing cross-functional projects.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, conversion technologies, industrialization processes, and packaging machinery.
• Solid understanding of food safety, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and packaging compliance.
• Experience in sustainability, recyclability, circularity, and packaging optimization initiatives.
• Strong project portfolio management and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, influencing, and leadership skills.
