An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially driven Director of Sales to join a distinctive luxury resort in the breathtaking Zanzibar archipelago.

This is a strategic leadership role for a sales professional who thrives on building international market presence, developing high-value partnerships, and driving revenue growth within the luxury hospitality sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Developing and executing a global sales strategy targeting key markets (Europe, Middle East, East Africa, North America)
• Building partnerships with luxury travel agencies, DMCs, TOs, and high-end distribution networks
• Establishing strong relationships with key buyers, influencers, and premium travel communities
• Leading pricing, positioning, segmentation and revenue-generating initiatives
• Driving room and experience sales for a unique, exclusive property with unique selling points
• Representing Cocco Lagoon at trade shows, sales missions and high-level B2B events
• Implementing sales systems, reporting, KPIs and performance targets
• Collaborating closely with marketing, revenue, and operations teams to deliver cohesive commercial results

REQUIREMENTS:

• Solid experience in luxury hotel/resort sales (minimum 5–7 years in Sales leadership; experience with boutique or hard-to-sell destinations is a major advantage)
• Strong network in luxury travel, premium tour operators and preferred partner programs
• Proven track record of building sales pipelines and achieving ambitious revenue targets
• Experience with remote/island or emerging destinations (a plus)
• Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills
• A dynamic, driven personality with a strategic mindset and hands-on approach
• Fluent English (other languages beneficial)
