Senior Finance Business Partner
- Is there a direct report?
- Reporting & finance business partnering makes sense
- The systems bit – particularly around AI – any questions we could ask there? Eg developing automated finance workflows
- Any particultor finance systems
- We’ve worked with another sofrware company recently were they specifically asked for IFRS 15 experience – linked to revenue recognition – would that make someone stand out?
- Replacement and a clear mismatch
- No financial background and excel – not aware of the process for forecasting / budgeting – verified against source data
- Process – transfer excel processes into systems – not lead on that – data rails for FP&A – those tools would help
- Interested in tools
- Only decided to re-launch data rails – might become a super user – info is coming in correctly
- Work with implementation specialist from data rails
- Combining data sets – eg 2 excel files, building models in excel with
- IFRS 15 is relevant – but not essential
- Comfortable with part qualified if right attitude – angling to someone fully qualified
- 1) Business partnering side – month end process. Important to engage with the business – account managers & sales directors – comfortable reaching out
- 2) Forecasing & budgeting – not leading it but assisting on a forecasting & budget
- 3) AI experience - cover these 3 things in cover notes
