IT Portfolio & Product Delivery Manager | Pacific

At Rentokil Initial, we are actively modernising and scaling how technology enables our operational and commercial teams across the Pacific. As our IT Portfolio & Product Delivery Manager, you will be the driving force connecting ambitious commercial vision with high-velocity product delivery.

This role delivers true strategic influence—reporting directly to the Pacific IT Director, you’ll step straight into a permanent seat on the Pacific IT Leadership Team (ITLT) as an influential peer, actively shaping technology direction across Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji. You will have direct leadership of a dedicated team of three direct reports (2x Delivery Leads and 1x Portfolio Analyst), with the mandate to establish practical governance, move beyond administrative overhead, and champion an outcome-driven delivery model from the ground up. You’ll coach and empower your team, take the reins on business-critical flagship implementations, and champion next-gen ways of working by leading from the front—embedding generative AI workflows and modern cloud tooling right into everyday execution.

Where You’ll Make an Impact

• Lead Portfolio Governance: Establish and optimise a pragmatic, lightweight governance framework that balances agile iteration with disciplined project controls 
• Drive Flagship Outcomes: Steer the regional product and project roadmap end-to-end, rolling up your sleeves to personally guide mission-critical initiatives across Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji.
• Empower a High-Performing Team: Coach, mentor, and inspire your team of two Delivery Leads and a Portfolio Analyst, fostering a culture anchored in psychological safety, ownership, and continuous innovation.
• Supercharge Productivity with AI: Pioneer modern digital workplace practices by embedding Google Workspace and generative AI tools (such as Gemini for Workspace) to automate reporting, accelerate documentation, and free your team to focus on high-value problem solving.
• Lead Commercial Partnerships: Manage strategic relationships with technology vendors, systems integrators, and software partners, demanding top-tier delivery, genuine accountability, and measurable ROI.
• Shape Strategy & Capital: Collaborate shoulder-to-shoulder with the Pacific IT Director and Finance on Capex/Opex allocations, while partnering with Architecture, Engineering, and Service Delivery peers to land seamless operational transitions.

Who Thrives in This Role

• A Proven Delivery Leader: You bring 7–10 years of progressive experience delivering complex enterprise systems, product roadmaps, or digital programs, alongside 2–4 years of demonstrated success coaching and growing high-performing teams.
• A Pragmatic Hybrid Thinker: You know how to seamlessly blend agile product methods (sprints, backlog refinement, iterative releases) with solid project governance, gating, and risk management.
• Digitally Fluent: You live and breathe cloud-native ecosystems, with strong fluency across Google Workspace and modern PPM collaboration stacks (Jira, Confluence, Asana, or monday.com).
• Commercial & Partner-Savvy: You know how to run vendor relationships with authority—translating SOWs, SLAs, and commercial contracts into actual delivery velocity.
• An Exceptional Communicator: You bridge executive strategy and front-line operations effortlessly, winning trust from C-suite leaders to branch teams on the ground.
• Ready to Travel: You’re open to occasional interstate and trans-Tasman trips to connect with branch networks and build genuine face-to-face relationships.

Extra Spark (Nice-to-Haves)

• Hands-on experience integrating Generative AI tooling (Gemini for Google Workspace, ChatGPT, Claude) into daily delivery cadence and reporting.
• Prior experience in field-service, logistics, or multi-site branch operational environments.
• Recognised delivery credentials such as CSPO, CSM, AgilePM, or PMP.
