We are looking for someone with direct experience managing commercial drywall and metal framing projects, along with the ability to coordinate field teams, control project costs, and keep multiple project activities on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceiling, and related interior construction projects from initial planning through installation and final delivery.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, staffing requirements, and execution strategies.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and trade scopes to verify project requirements and identify potential conflicts.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, superintendents, and our field crews to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor labor productivity, material costs, subcontractor expenses, billing, and change orders to maintain project profitability.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, payment applications, invoices, and other project documentation.
- Coordinate material procurement and deliveries to ensure our crews have the resources needed to maintain project schedules.
- Conduct jobsite visits to assess installation quality, workforce productivity, safety compliance, and schedule performance.
- Hold subcontractors and suppliers accountable for workmanship, deadlines, and contractual obligations.
- Identify cost overruns, schedule risks, and field challenges, implementing corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Lead project meetings and communicate progress, financial performance, risks, and outstanding decisions to relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate with our estimating and field operations teams to align project scope, budgets, and execution plans.
- Evaluate additional work, prepare change-order proposals, and manage the cost and schedule impacts of scope revisions.
- Oversee punch-list completion, warranty issues, client turnover, and final project closeout.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, trade partners, suppliers, and our internal teams.
