Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy assistant services to the geriatric population in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) in accordance with the established plan of care.
  • Collaborate closely with the Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary care team to help residents achieve their functional goals and maximize independence.
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining productivity and documentation standards.
  • Serve as the day-to-day Team Lead for the therapy department, supporting clinical operations and fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Assist the Program Manager with daily administrative and operational responsibilities, including coordinating workflow, communicating departmental updates, and supporting scheduling needs.
  • Act as a resource and mentor for therapy team members, promoting teamwork, engagement, and best practices.
  • Help facilitate communication between therapists, nursing, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
  • Support onboarding and ongoing development of new team members, as appropriate.
  • Assist with maintaining compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and documentation standards.
  • Participate in department meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and other projects that support operational excellence.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff while contributing to a culture of compassion, accountability, and exceptional customer service.
  • Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned by the Program Manager.

As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be required to maintain productivity standards and complete required documentation. More importantly, you will help your patients achieve critical outcomes while acting as a trusted partner to the community you serve.

Qualifications

 

  • Be a graduate of an accredited school for therapy.
  • Hold a valid or pending state license.
