We’re looking for a Head of People to help shape the people, talent and leadership agenda at one of the world’s most iconic financial institutions. This is a rare opportunity to influence how Lloyd’s delivers its strategy through people, culture, capability and change.
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you’ll work closely with senior leaders across Lloyd’s to turn business ambition into clear, practical and measurable people outcomes. You’ll bring insight, challenge and trusted advice to the moments that matter, helping us build the leadership, skills and culture we need for the future.
What you’ll do
You’ll lead the development of enterprise-wide people priorities that support Lloyd’s corporate strategy and long-term ambition. You’ll make sure our people agenda is focused, commercially relevant and delivered in a way that creates lasting value.
You’ll advise senior leaders on organisational effectiveness, leadership, workforce planning, culture and talent. You’ll help leaders make better decisions, build stronger teams and create the conditions for high performance.
You’ll shape our approach to talent, succession planning and future skills. That means helping us identify critical roles, strengthen leadership pipelines and build the capabilities Lloyd’s will need next.
You’ll partner with Centres of Excellence and People teams to design simple, scalable and commercially focused people solutions. You’ll help connect great thinking with practical delivery.
You’ll also act as a strong voice for colleagues, using insight from the business to influence the People strategy and support employee engagement across Lloyd’s.
What you’ll bring
You’ll bring senior People experience from a complex, commercially driven organisation. You’ll be confident working with executive and senior leadership teams, with the credibility to influence, advise and challenge constructively.
You’ll be a strategic thinker who can turn business priorities into people plans that work. You’ll also know how to move from strategy to delivery, balancing long-term thinking with practical action.
You’ll understand talent management, succession planning, leadership development, workforce planning and organisational effectiveness. You’ll also bring strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations and organisational change.
You’ll be comfortable using data, insight and technology to inform decisions. You’ll be analytical, commercially aware and able to communicate complex information clearly.
Most importantly, you’ll bring sound judgement, integrity and a people-focused approach to change. You’ll know how to build trust quickly, work through complexity and help others succeed.

What we’re looking for
We’d like you to have:
- Proven senior People experience in a complex organisation.
- Experience partnering senior leadership or executive teams on the people agenda.
- Practical knowledge of talent, succession, leadership development and organisational effectiveness.
- Experience leading organisational change, including restructures, redeployment or redundancy programmes.
- Effective stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
- The ability to use data and insight to support better people decisions.
- A degree or equivalent experience, with FCIPD or equivalent professional experience preferred.
