Business Development Manager – Private Lending
Our client is seeking a driven Business Development Manager to expand its presence within Ontario's mortgage broker community. This hybrid opportunity is ideal for a relationship-focused sales professional who thrives on generating new business, building strategic partnerships, and delivering exceptional service throughout the lending process.
What You'll Do
- Develop and strengthen relationships with mortgage brokers, referral partners, and industry professionals to generate new lending opportunities.
- Identify and pursue new business through networking, prospecting, and regular client engagement.
- Act as a trusted resource by educating partners on lending solutions and recommending products that meet their clients' needs.
- Partner closely with underwriting and internal teams to ensure efficient deal progression and a positive customer experience.
- Monitor sales activity, manage a healthy pipeline, and provide regular updates on business development performance.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth.
- Represent the organization at networking events, conferences, and other industry functions to enhance brand awareness.
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated success in business development, account management, or sales within the mortgage, financial services, or real estate sectors.
- Strong understanding of private lending, mortgage financing, or alternative lending products.
- Proven ability to build lasting relationships and develop business through a consultative sales approach.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain an active sales pipeline.
- Experience using CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
- Mortgage Agent Level 1 or Level 2 Licence.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related discipline is considered an asset.
- Ability to travel throughout the GTA for client meetings and industry events.
