Long-term Teachers are working with a welcoming secondary school in Redruth to recruit an English Teacher for a full-time, ongoing temporary placement.

The school is looking for an English specialist, although applications are also welcome from teachers with strong English teaching experience who can confidently deliver engaging lessons across the secondary age range.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher looking for a consistent, ongoing role within a supportive school environment.

The Role

• Teach English across the secondary age range
• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons
• Take responsibility for lesson planning, preparation and marking
• Support students to develop their literacy, confidence and subject knowledge
• Assess and monitor student progress
• Build positive relationships with students and maintain high expectations
• Contribute to the wider English department and school community

We're Looking For

• An English specialist preferred, but not essential
• Strong experience teaching English in a secondary setting
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience
• Confidence with lesson planning, assessment and marking
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A passion for English and helping students achieve their potential
