Overview

The Maintenance Associate will assist guests with maintenance or other requests.   Responsibilities also include performing various work order tasks and preventative maintenance on Resort equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Resolves guest’s problems and handles all guest requests.
  • Identifies problems, initiates work orders, accomplishes assigned work orders and does all necessary repairs.
  • Performs preventative maintenance and maintains logs in an organized manner.
  • Complete the duty rounds checklists, report and correct noted problems.
  • Responsible for correct use of office equipment, EMS system and Life Safety Systems, (training provided).
  • Perform swimming pool chemical tests, make corrections and have a working knowledge of pool equipment (training provided).

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years experience in a similar job in the hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret HVAC, electrical, mechanical and plumbing blueprints.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
  • Specific advanced experience in one or more trades including but not limited to: Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Kitchen Equipment Repair, Painting, and Pool Maint

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, and hear. Must be capable of walking or standing 90% or more of a normal 8 hour work shift. Must be capable of frequently carrying, lifting. pushing or pulling up to 75lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to an indoor and outdoor working environment and the noise level in the work place is usually moderate to high.
  • Typical equipment used include but are not limited to hand tools, power tools, shovels, and computers.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to an indoor and outdoor working environment and the noise level in the work place is usually moderate to high.
