Technischen Projektleiter  (d/m/w) Enhanced Awareness Systems


Unser Team

Sie werden Teil eines Teams von über 65 Systemingenieuren in unserer transnationalen Abteilung "Situational Awareness and Mission Management", die für die Implementierung von Situational Awareness-Systemen auf allen Airbus Helicopters (e)VTOL-Plattformen zuständig ist. Diese Systeme integrieren eine Vielzahl von Technologien für die Wahrnehmung der externen Umgebung durch die Besatzung, um deren Verständnis von Gelände und Hindernissen, Luftverkehr und Wettersituation zu unterstützen. Typische Systeme umfassen: Hinderniswarnsysteme, Kamera- und elektrooptische Systeme, Transpondersysteme, Radarsysteme, fortschrittliche Anzeigemittel.


Ihre Rolle

Als Technischer Projektleiter für Enhanced Awareness Systems sind Sie dafür verantwortlich, die transversale Entwicklung von Situational Awareness-Lösungen innerhalb von Airbus Helicopters voranzutreiben. Diese Systeme unterstützen die Flugbesatzung beim Verständnis der Umgebung (Verkehrs-, Gelände-, Hindernis-, Wetterwahrnehmung) und erhöhen dadurch die Missionseffektivität und Flugsicherheit. Sie umfassen fortschrittliche Sensorlösungen (z. B. bildgebendes Infrarot) und Anzeigemittel (z. B. Head-up-Display-Systeme), um die Wahrnehmung der Besatzung zu verbessern.

Der Projektleiter soll die transversale Produktentwicklung leiten, um die Anforderungen verschiedener Programme und Endkunden bestmöglich zu erfüllen, während gleichzeitig die Standardisierung gefördert und Synergien genutzt werden, um die Entwicklungskomplexität und -kosten zu reduzieren. Sie sind verantwortlich für die Entwicklung, Integration, Qualifikation und Zertifizierung von Situational Awareness-Systemen und steuern die länderübergreifende Entwicklung mit multidisziplinären Engineering-Teams in Donauwörth und Marignane.

Ihre Aufgaben und Verantwortlichkeiten

Technische Koordination:

  • Konsolidierung der Plattformbedürfnisse und -anforderungen sowie Ausarbeitung einer transversalen Produktstrategie
  • Definition einer transversalen Entwicklungslogik und -planung unter Berücksichtigung der jeweiligen Programmanforderungen und Abstimmung mit den Lieferanten
  • Fungieren als technische Autorität für die Schlichtung, Priorisierung und Eskalation technischer Entscheidungen und Trade-offs
  • Definition und Bereitstellung von Systems Engineering-Praktiken im Team (z. B. Anforderungsmanagement, Konfigurations- und Änderungsmanagement, IVV-Strategie)
  • Durchführung von Risiko- und Chancenmanagement

Projektmanagement:

  • Überwachung des Gesamtprojektfortschritts in Übereinstimmung mit der vereinbarten Planung
  • Verfolgung der wichtigsten Projektmeilensteine einschließlich vertraglicher Meilensteine
  • Management der Beziehungen zu internen Stakeholdern (einschließlich H/C-Programme, Chief Engineering, andere Metiers) sowie externen Stakeholdern (einschließlich Lieferanten, Endkunden)
  • Leitung und Management des multidisziplinären Teams (Ingenieure in Donauwörth und Marignane) gemäß seinem Leitbild (einschließlich Ziele, Ressourcen/Kompetenzen, Routinen, Berichterstattung...)

Erforderliche Kenntnisse und Qualifikationen

  • Abgeschlossenes Bachelorstudium (Physik, Elektrotechnik, Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik oder vergleichbar) und zusätzlich umfangreiche Erfahrung und Weiterbildung oder durch eine an das Studium anschließende Promotion
    Alternativ: Abgeschlossenes Masterstudium (Luft- und Raumfahrt oder Maschinenbau) und zusätzlich erweiterte Erfahrung und Weiterbildung oder durch eine an das Studium anschließende Promotion
  • Umfassendes Verständnis der Systems Engineering-Methoden und Erfahrung in der Anwendung
  • Erfahrung in Systemdesign, -entwicklung, -engineering und/oder Integration komplexer Avioniksysteme
  • Kenntnisse im Systems Engineering, Anforderungsmanagement und Integration im Bereich Avionik
  • Führungsfähigkeiten, einschließlich Beratung/Einflussnahme bei technischen Trade-offs, Erfassung und Verbreitung von Wissen, Arbeit in einem Netzwerk innerhalb der Airbus Group und außerhalb
  • Eine frühere Erfahrung mit agilen Methoden (Scrum, SAFe) wäre von Vorteil
  • Erfahrung im Lieferantenmanagement (Supplier Management)
  • Teamgeist, ausgezeichnete Kommunikationsfähigkeiten und Erfahrung im Stakeholder-Management
  • Sprachkenntnisse: Englisch verhandlungssicher / Business-Niveau, Kenntnisse in Deutsch, Französisch oder Spanisch wären von Vorteil

Technical Project Leader (d/f/m) Enhanced Awareness Systems (d/f/m)

Our Team

You will join a team of 65+ system engineers in our transnational "Situational Awareness and Mission Management" department in charge of the implementation of Situation Awareness systems on all Airbus Helicopters (e)VTOL platforms These systems integrate a variety of technologies for the crew's perception of the external environment to support their understanding of terrain and obstacles, air traffic and weather situation. Typical systems include; obstacle warning systems, camera and electro-optical systems, transponder systems, radar systems, advanced display means.


Your Role

As a technical project leader for enhanced awareness systems, you are responsible to drive the transversal development of Situational Awareness solutions within Airbus Helicopters. These systems support the flight crew in the comprehension of the environment (traffic, terrain, obstacles, weather awareness) thereby increasing mission effectiveness and flight safety. They comprise advanced sensor solutions (e.g. imaging infrared) and display means (e.g. head-up display systems) to enhance the perception of the crew. The project leader shall lead the transversal product development to best meet the needs of different programs and end-customers whilst promoting standardization and leveraging synergies to reduce development complexity and cost. You will be accountable for the development, integration, qualification and certification of Situational Awareness systems and shall manage the transnational development with multidisciplinary engineering teams located in Donauwörth and Marignane.


Your location

At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

Your tasks and responsibilities

Technical Coordination:

  • Consolidate platform needs and requirements and elaborate a transversal product strategy
  • Define a transversal development logic and planning taking into account the respective program needs and alignment with suppliers
  • Act as a technical authority for arbitration, prioritization and escalation of technical decisions and trade-offs
  • Define and deploy Systems Engineering practices in the team (e.g. requirements management, config & change management, IVV strategy)
  • Perform Risk and Opportunity management

       

Project Management:

  • Monitor overall project progress in accordance with the agreed planning
  • Follow-up of main project milestones incl. contractual milestones
  • Manage the relationship with internal stakeholders (incl. H/C Programs, Chief Engineering, other Metiers) as well as external stakeholders (incl. supplier, end-customers)
  • Lead and manage the multidisciplinary Team (engineers in Donauwörth and Marignane) in accordance with its mission statement (incl. objectives, resources / competences, routines, reporting …)

Required skills and qualifications

  • Completed Bachelor's degree (Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar) and additional extensive experience and further training or through a doctorate subsequent to the degree program
    Alternatively: Completed Master's degree (aerospace or mechanical engineering) and additional extended experience and further education or PhD
  • Comprehensive understanding Systems Engineering methodologies and experience in application
  • Experience in system design, development, engineering and/or integration of complex avionics systems
  • Knowledge in systems engineering, requirements engineering and integration in the field of avionics
  • Leadership skills including advise/influence technical trade-offs, capture and spread knowledge, work in a network within Airbus group and outside
  • A previous experience with agile methodology (Scrum, SAFe) would be beneficial
  • Experience in Supplier Management
  • Team Spirit, excellent communication skills and experience in stakeholder management
  • Language skills: English business fluent / negotiation level, knowledge of German, French or Spanish would be an advantage
