Description
Hive Group, a HUBZone-certified SDVOSB and multiple award-winning organization, is seeking a skilled Acquisition Specialist to deliver comprehensive, cradle-to-grave acquisition support and ensure operational compliance for the FBI in Washington, DC. Operating under the direction and authority of authorized Government Contracting Officers (COs), the Acquisition Specialist provides critical contracting support across all stages of the procurement lifecycle—including acquisition planning, market research, solicitation preparation, proposal evaluation, contract award, administration, and closeout—in strict adherence to federal acquisition laws, regulations, and policies.
This position is fully remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the CO with acquisition planning, requirements development, acquisition strategies, and procurement packages.
- Conduct market research to identify potential sources, available products and services, competition, and small business opportunities; provide findings to the CO.
- Assist with determining appropriate acquisition and competition methods based on customer requirements, market research, and FAR requirements.
- Review procurement requests and supporting documentation for completeness and identify issues for CO consideration.
- Prepare draft solicitations, provisions, clauses, and related documents for CO review and approval.
- Support solicitation activities, including posting, receiving, tracking, and organizing quotations and proposals.
- Assist the CO with proposal evaluations, competitive range development, offeror communications, pricing analysis, and pre-negotiation activities.
- Prepare draft award documents, modifications, and required notifications for CO review and execution.
- Support contract administration by tracking contractor performance, reviewing invoices and contract documentation, monitoring compliance, and identifying issues for CO action.
- Assist with contract financing, task and delivery orders, basic ordering agreements, simplified acquisitions, and other contracting actions as assigned.
- Maintain contract files and enter accurate procurement data into FPDS-NG and other applicable systems.
- Assist with solicitation inquiries and FOIA requests in accordance with CO guidance and applicable requirements.
- Track acquisition milestones and coordinate with customers, contractors, and other stakeholders to support timely completion of procurement actions.
- Support contract closeout, termination, records management, and other post-award activities as directed by the CO.
- Prepare acquisition documentation and supporting materials for Procurement Strategy Reviews and Acquisition Review Board consideration.
- Utilize applicable federal procurement systems, including SAM.gov, GSA eBuy, FPDS-NG, GWACs, and NASA SEWP.
- Perform other acquisition support duties as assigned by the CO.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and Four (4) years of federal contracting experience covering relevant acquisition support; or Eight (8) years of qualifying federal contracting experience in lieu of a degree.
- Working knowledge of federal acquisition policies and procedures, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and customer-service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines.
- Active DOJ Public Trust
Preferred Qualifications
- FAC-C Level II certification.
- DAWIA Level II certification.
- Experience with federal procurement systems such as SAM.gov, FPDS-NG, GSA eBuy, GWACs, or NASA SEWP.
- Experience supporting small business and other socioeconomic acquisition programs.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated compensation range for this position is between $75,000 to 85,000 annually. Actual salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s specialized skills, certifications, and years of experience.
