Maintenance Technician

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support Wraps Facility operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving vinyl wrap equipment including printers, laminators, cutters as well as other repairs or maintenance at the facility and its equipment. This role ensures maximum uptime of production equipment while implementing upgrades, running changes, and continuous improvements across various wrap production equipment and fulfillment center equipment.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

• Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on printers, laminators, industrial cut tables, work stations, and other material handling equipment.

• Diagnose mechanical issues in printers, laminators, industrial cut tables, work stations, and other material handling equipment using diagrams, precision instruments, and diagnostic methods.

• Dismantle, repair, and replace defective parts using needed tools and equipment

• Support equipment upgrades, running changes, and system updates with minimal disruption to production.

• Install and align new machinery and equipment using various tools and working with suppliers to ensure proper repair process.

• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for mechanical failures, throughput losses, and quality issues; drive corrective actions.

• Partner with maintenance and operations teams to develop documentation, training, and preventive maintenance plans.

• Apply national mechanical safety standards and ensure compliance with guarding, interlocks, and mechanical safety devices.

• Independently execute preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment

• Perform functional checks, moderate to advanced troubleshooting and root-cause failure analysis on equipment

• Identify, procure and maintain an inventory of single point failure critical spare parts

• Troubleshoot moderate to advanced complexity mechanical and electrical issues without established procedures, job plans and safety documents

• Help create comprehensive equipment maintenance procedures, job plans and safety documents

•  Identify electrical and other utility requirements dictated by equipment manufacturer

• Review dashboards, complete assigned work orders, help create daily work plans and provide detailed updates to a wide audience

• Coordinate with vendors and partner teams as maintenance operations contact

• Support shop housekeeping, 5S, and safety compliance; maintain a clean and organized work environment.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Education: 

• Knowledge of basic computer business applications such as MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 3+ years electrical, mechanical and/or HVAC experience in critical infrastructure – or technical school certification equivalent and 1+ years of equivalent experience

Technical Skills: 

• Applied competency with hand, diagnostic and precision measuring tools

• High attention to detail while maintaining impeccable quality standards

• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems

• Troubleshooting experience using procedures, technical documentation, and drawings

• Demonstrated capability reading and interpreting technical prints and schematics

• Help create comprehensive equipment maintenance procedures, job plans and safety documents

• Proficiency in mechanical assembly/repair of motors, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and screws.

• Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and schematics.

• Partner cross functionally with operations, safety, facilites and vendors to accomplish a given task
