Looking for VINYL WRAP APPLICATION experience
The Technical Solutions Specialist will provide customer-facing technical support, product testing, installation guidance, and technical content for North American Sales and Marketing. The role supports product adoption and profitable growth by resolving application challenges, enabling customer conversions, and translating field insights into practical tools and product improvements.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Technical Expertise, Customer Support, and Claims
- Support customer on product selection, installation, troubleshooting, and performance.
- Support claim investigation for root-cause analysis and corrective action
- Maintain expertise in Arlon and competitive graphic films, applications, and installation methods.
Sales Enablement and Customer Conversion
- Partner with Sales to address technical concerns, demonstrate proper product use, and support successful customer conversions.
- Lead product demonstrations, customer training, trade shows, and other field events.
Technical Content, Knowledge Management, and Reporting
- Create and maintain technical resources and curriculum for internal and external training purposes.
- Analyze support trends and metrics to improve product and application methods
- Maintain departmental reporting and performance metrics and provide actionable insights
Product Validation, Voice of Customer, and Continuous Improvement
- Analyze customer feedback to identify product, training, and support improvements.
- Conduct Arlon and competitor product validation to guide performance, launches, and improvements.
- Provide application expertise and test feedback to support product launches and improvements.
Training, Certification, and Event Coordination
- Develop training, certification standards, and application methods based on product and field needs.
- Coordinate resources and schedules to deliver consistent training and technical events within budget.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4+ years of recent relevant experience [MUST have vinyl installation experience; vehicle wraps, vinyl applications in graphic film industry]
- Ability and availability to travel based on business needs up to 50% of time; must have valid travel documents and acceptable driving record.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, cloud file sharing, presentation tools, and video conference platforms such as MS Teams and Zoom.
- Strong communication skills (listening, verbal, written, presentation, inter-personal)
- Professional, organized, accurate and dependable, with sound judgment, discretion, and attention to detail.
- Move or lift up to 50lbs
- Demonstrates Arlon’s values of integrity, excellence, inspiration, teamwork, and accountability, and acts in the company’s best interest.
- Effectively use approved basic generative AI and other emerging technologies to improve technical support productivity, product analysis, documentation, training content, and customer communication. Protect confidential customer, employee, and company information when using AI tools and comply with company requirements regarding data privacy, security, intellectual property, and acceptable AI use. Help Sales, customers, and internal teams adopt approved technical tools and resources, as appropriate. Training provided.
Additional Optional/Preferred Education and Experience
- Additional formal education beyond high school level.
- Experience translating manufacturing and graphics-industry insights into product development input.
Pay Transparency
The current pay for this position is between $80K - $95K/year. Rate of pay will depend on factors such as market conditions and location, job-related knowledge and skills, education, training and experience. If hired, employment will be at will. The Company reserves the right to modify pay, as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program, at any time.
